How to Build a Freezer Smoothie Pack Station
Portion fruit and greens into freezer packs so a morning smoothie can go straight into the blender.

Wipe a prep zone

Clear and dry a section of counter for fruit, bags, and a tray.
A clean surface keeps food away from clutter.
Wash your hands before handling food.
Wash and dry fruit

Rinse berries or cut fruit and spread them on a towel to remove surface water.
Too much water makes fruit freeze into hard clumps.
Do not use damaged or moldy fruit.
Portion one smoothie at a time

Use a measuring cup or small bowl to divide fruit into one-blend portions.
Fixed portions remove morning guesswork.
Use caution with knives and slippery fruit.
Add greens

Add a small handful of spinach or other smoothie-friendly greens to each bag.
Freezing greens with fruit makes each pack more balanced.
Wash and dry greens first.
Press out air and seal

Flatten each bag gently, press out extra air, and seal it.
Less air means less frost and easier flat storage.
Do not overfill bags or the seal may pop open.
Lay packs in a shallow tray

Place the packs flat in a shallow tray with even thickness.
The tray helps them freeze into stackable shapes.
Make sure the tray fits level in the freezer drawer.
Slide into the freezer

Slide the tray into the freezer drawer without letting the bags bunch up.
Flat freezing keeps the packs thin and easy to remove.
Do not block freezer airflow.
Store after frozen

Once firm, line the packs upright or flat in a row and use the oldest first.
A neat row keeps packs from disappearing into the back of the drawer.
Discard packs with freezer burn, off smells, or excessive age.
